Mission: To develop strategies promoting and enhancing plant breeding education, training, awareness, and funding to foster a future workforce for sustainable global plant breeding. To address the educational gap for the generational relief (between Uni grads and working breeders).
Leadership Structure: The Education Committee consists of three officers (chair, vice-chair, secretary), with each position serving for one year. At the annual meeting, the vice-chair assumes leadership, the secretary promotes to the vice-chair, and a new secretary is elected. Serving on the Education Committee leadership is a three-year commitment, with all positions serving on a voluntary basis.
